Photography came naturally for Marcus Benedict five years ago. Paired with his love for news and documentary, he finds pleasure in listening to the stories of the community and retelling them.

Now he is diploma graduate in Mass Communication at Republic Polytechnic.

 

Marcus was also previously, the photo editor for The Republican Post, campus newspaper. His role oversees the photo essays and article photos published for both the paper the digital platforms.

​

He pitches photo essay ideas from time to time, as well as organize photo assignments for his peers and juniors.

​

The 23-year old has also worked on projects with well-known organizations like the Singapore Red Cross, Singapore Swimming Association, Spring Singapore and the People's Association

Having done his internship at the Straits Times photo desk, Marcus aspires to become a photo journalist in the future.
