Project Overview
Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) engaged Republic Polytechnic's Mass Communciation students to manage its social media account for the 2 days of the FINA world finals in Singapore. The team produced photos and content for SSA's social media accounts.
Roles and contributions
I played the role of photographer for this project. I was also put in charge of taking photos for the prize and medal presentation. The photos were posted on SSA's Facebook page.
What I learned
I learned to shoot better sports photos, in particular swimming. I also had to edit on the go, immediately at the end of the day. I had previously volunteered at another sporting event as a media relation liasion. Working as a photographer has helped me in understanding of the boundaries and terminologies at these big sporting events.
